Cornbread
1 c cornmeal
1 c flour
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
1 egg
1 c milk
1/2 c butter
Add wet ingredients to dry. Mix until smooth.
Bake at 350 20 mins for bread, or 10-15 mins for muffins.

2 c sugar
6 tbsp cocoa
1/2 c butter
1/2 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c coconut
3 c instant oats
Combine sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk in pan. Bring to a boil. Add vanilla. Remove from heat, stir in coconut and oats. Drop onto wax paper and chill.
1 c rolled oats

2 c flour

1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 c apple sauce
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 c. mashed bananas (4-5 bananas)
Combine oats and milk and set aside. Mix flour, sugar, salkt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. To wet mixture add: apple sauce, eggs, vanilla, and bananas. Add we ingredients to dry and stir until flour is moistened.
Bake @ 375 45 mins for a loaf (20 mins for muffins)

1/2 c butter
Mix until crumbly and press into 8×8 pan. Bake @ 375 for 10 mins.
Brown 2/3 c sliced almonds.
Spread almonds over bottom mixture.
Bring to a boil over medium heat:
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c butter
Boil gently for 3 mins.
Spread over almonds. Cover and bake @ 350 for 7 mins or until it starts to bubble.

1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/3 c oil
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c milk
Combine dry ingredients and mix into wet ingredients only to combine.
Bake @ 350 for 20-25 mins
While still hot, dip in: 1/2 c melted butter and then 3/4 c sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon.

Low Fat Alternative:
Cut butter in half and substitute low fat yogurt
1/3 c shortening
1 1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
1 tsp bakign powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c chocolate chips
Stir shortening, sugar egg and vanilla together. Add flour, paking powder, and salt. Stir in chips.
Bake @350 30 mins in a 9×9 pan

1/2 c fruit sugar
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/2 c flour
Stir together butter, sugar, egg and salt. Add flour a little at a time untill too stiff to work with a aspoon. Transfer to a floured surface and knead in flour until the lum starts to crack. Divide into two and roll to 1/4″ thick. Use cookie cutters to cut into circles, or other shapes.
Bake @ 325 10-15 mins.
Beat together:
1 c sugar
1 c butter
Add:
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 c sour cream
Topping:
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Put half of batter in an 8×8 pan. Sprinkle on 2/3 of the topping. Add the rest of batter and then remaining topping.
Bake @350 for 45-50 mins
Blend:
1/2 c butter
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
Add:
1 egg
1 c pastry flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp coconut extract
1 c oatmeal
1 c shredded coconut
Bake @ 350 for 8-10 mins
These are also good with cocoa!
